Wedding edition: A&Z "Les Vignes Bleues

The Story

Les Vignes Bleues is inspired by the vineyards of Tigné in France's Loire Valley, where Monique Georger spent her childhood. Nestled beside her family home, these vineyards belonged to the historic Touchais wine estate, where her family produced their renowned wines for generations.

The landscape carries an extraordinary family history. During the Second World War, Monique's father, Joseph Touchais, secretly hid part of the family's treasured wine collection behind a sealed cellar wall to protect it from being requisitioned during the German occupation. Thanks to his foresight, the bottles survived the war, preserving not only an exceptional vintage but a precious piece of the family's heritage.

In this painting, Monique transforms those cherished memories into luminous shades of blue, capturing the softness of the Loire light, the rolling vineyards, and the enduring connection between family, land, and time.
